Apple Music: Set up family subscription - here's how
With the family subscription, Apple allows you to use Apple Music with up to six people. To use the subscription, you'll need to sign up for Apple Music Family and set up family sharing on either iOS or Mac systems. Before you do that, however, you'll need to sign in with your Apple ID.
How to set up family sharing in Apple Music Family
You can set up family sharing on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch as well as on Mac. On iOS devices, follow these steps:- Open the "Settings" and then tap your name at the top.
- There, tap the "Family Sharing" option and confirm with "Set up your family". Under "Family Sharing", you will also find the option "Add Member".
- Follow the further instructions to successfully complete the family sharing.
- Call up the "Apple" menu and go to the "System Preferences".
- There, select "Family Sharing". Here you can also invite people to your share via "Add family member" after activation.
- Now enter your Apple ID and check whether "Share my purchases" is activated.
- Now follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
