Cloud gaming is on the rise, but has by no means reached a market-dominating status yet. For those interested in GeForce NOW, here's all the info you need to know about buying it.

The big advantage of GeForce NOW is that you can use games you have already purchased on other platforms in the cloud. The decisive factor for the scope of use is the form of the subscription.

GeForce NOW: Rent instead of buying - the cloud as a subscription

A purchase of GeForce NOW is not possible at all in the actual sense. It is a monthly cancelable subscription, with which you rent access to the gaming cloud. There are two variants, as already explained here. Once again clearly summarized:

• In the free membership you pay no subscription fees, but can only play with restrictions. First and foremost, this concerns the session duration, which is limited to one hour. After that, a reconnection is necessary, but it depends on the server load.
• With the Founder subscription, your sessions last up to six hours. In addition, you can use features such as RTX (ray tracing). Regularly, the subscription costs 5.49 euros per month, but the registration or booking is not always possible, because Nvidia does not want to overload the capacities.
