Deleting a Tik Tok account: how it works

With social media apps, accounts are always a linchpin. Without an account, you obviously can't participate in the action, but with an account, you again take a risk in terms of privacy. If you no longer use your account, it's best to delete it.

Delete Tik Tok account - how to proceed

Not always does an app or portal make it so easy to permanently delete your account. In Tik Tok, however, you do not have to worry about this.

1. To completely remove your account from Tik Tok, you must first log in to the app.
2. Now navigate to the settings. There you get there by tapping on the three dots in the top right corner.
3. Now switch to the "Profile Management" section.
4. In order to delete your account now, you need to enter your associated phone number.
5. To this number, you will be sent an SMS with a confirmation code, so that the foreign access can be excluded.
6. Damit Sie den Code bekommen, scrollen Sie weiter runter und tippen auf „Konto löschen“.
7. Ein Sicherheitshinweis informiert Sie darüber, was beim Löschen des Kontos passiert und schließt den Vorgang ab.
8. Durch Tippen auf „Account löschen“ bestätigen Sie das Löschen des Accounts und werden automatisch ausgeloggt.
9. Sie können sich nun nicht mehr mit den Login-Daten bei Tik Tok anmelden.
