Xbox Cloud Gaming: What bandwidth is recommended?

The more users cloud gaming reaches, the more important the question of necessary or recommended bandwidth becomes. Read what Microsoft has to say about the new Xbox cloud gaming.

Single-digit bandwidth enough? According to Microsoft, low entry is possible.

Broadband connections beyond 50 Mbps have long been common, but have not yet reached all households. For cloud gaming, this issue is even more important.

Xbox Cloud Gaming: Required bandwidth relatively low

The official requirements are:

• Your Internet connection should be capable of a bandwidth of 7 to 10 Mbit/s.
• Compared to services like Google Stadia, this is quite low. Nevertheless, it is also true that this is only the minimum value.
• In addition, Microsoft points out that it should be a 5 GHz WLAN. 2.4 GHz are also supported, but are not yet considered optimized.

Even bandwidths without fiber, such as the still common 16 Mbit/s, are thus well equipped for Xbox Cloud Gaming.
