Renewing your passport: what will it cost

You need a passport to travel to other countries without a visa. 1. A passport usually can not be extended and must therefore be re-applied for directly. Note that the processing time is three to four weeks and you should therefore apply for the passport in time.
2. Alternatively, you can also get an express passport issued, this is ready in about three days, but costs with 32 pages 91.00 euros and with 48 pages 113.00 euros.
3. Im Gegensatz dazu kostet der „normale“ Reisepass mit 32 Seiten lediglich 60,00 Euro und der mit 48 Seiten 82,00 Euro.
4. Unabhängig davon, welchen Pass Sie gewählt haben, gilt der Reisepass zehn Jahre.
5. Wenn Sie unter 24 Jahre alt sind, reduzieren sich die Kosten um zirka 20 Euro pro Ausweis. Dieser gilt dann jedoch lediglich für sechs Jahre.
