How does Donkey Republic work? We introduce the rental service

Rental bikes have long been a popular way to get around in big cities. With Donkey Republic, a trendy provider from Denmark has now also ventured into the German market.

Spontaneous on a two-wheeler: with Donkey Republic, you can rent a bike simply by app.

The bicycle is healthy and, depending on traffic conditions, often even faster than the car. The trend towards rental providers is therefore not surprising and with Donkey Republic there is another option.

Donkey Republic: How the bike rental works

The way it works is not complicated, as it has already proven itself with numerous other providers:

• In participating cities, you can search for free bikes via app.
• Once there, you unlock the bike via app as well. This is possible around the clock.
• During the rental you can lock the wheel as often as you like, for example, for shopping.
• The prices depend on the city. In Berlin, the rent starts at 1.50 euros per half hour.
• Much longer rentals are also possible - currently the limit is one week.
• The bikes are not e-bikes.
