Google Stadia: How to connect your account to YouTube

Stadia, just like YouTube, is part of the Google ecosphere. So it stands to reason that gaming streams with Stadia over YouTube are particularly straightforward. Read how to set it up.

Under the Google umbrella: YouTube and Stadia are quickly linked.

As shown in this guide, you can start a live stream on YouTube directly when gaming with Stadia. To do this, you first need to connect the accounts.

Google Stadia: Connect YouTube account easily - this is how it works

Proceed as follows:

1. Click on your profile picture at the top right of stadia.com.
2. Select "Stadia Settings".
3. Now you can open "YouTube" in the sidebar on the left.
4. If you already operate one or more YouTube channels with the Google account that you also use for Stadia, you will now see them listed. Behind each of them is the option "Link to Stadia".
5. When you click the button, the link is already completed - you only have to click "Done" in the new additional window.

There you will also learn that you still have to activate the live streaming option for the channel separately. This is not done in Stadia, but on YouTube in the channel settings. In the meantime, you can find these in the Creator Central at https://studio.youtube.com/.Falls. If you want to separate your YouTube channel from Stadia, this is possible in the same place with "Unlink".
