Resetting your iPhone can have many causes and consequences. Most often, a device is reset only when it needs to be restored to factory settings - for example, when it is sold or when there are unsolvable problems with the device so that a reset is necessary.

The easiest way is probably to reset the iPhone directly through the settings. However, in some situations this is not possible.

1. Start your iPhone and go to the "Settings".
2. There you navigate to "General" and tap "Reset".
3. Now there are two options that should be well considered.
4. By choosing "Old Settings", all settings on the device and stored data will be kept.
5. With "Erase Content & Settings" you remove any data on the device and reset the iPhone completely.
6. To confirm the process, you must enter your code and tap "Erase iPhone".

Reset iPhone 6 via iTunes

1. It may happen that the iPhone stops responding and therefore needs to be reset.
2. Click "Settings" and iCloud and uncheck "Find my iPhone".
