Embedding images in Excel - how to format image files

Excel offers you the possibility to conveniently import images and graphics into the program. However, the formatting behind it is not so simple. While the pure import is no problem, it is quite tricky to position and embed an image in certain cells.

Embedding images in Excel - this is how you proceed

Of course, you must first have Excel installed on your computer and, at best, already have opened the project in which an image is to be embedded.
  1. Now find a graphic that is to be inserted into the project. To do this, use the "Copy" function, which can be found by right-clicking on the file and use [Ctrl] + [V] to paste the image into Excel.
  2. You now have the option to resize the image so that it roughly resembles the size of the cell.
  3. If necessary, you can also specify the exact size of the cell.
  4. If you now hold down [Alt] while moving the image, it can be placed in a cell.
