How to open the Control Panel in Windows versions

The Control Panel is an important tool in Windows to make settings on the system. If you need access to the functions, the way usually leads through the control panel. In every Windows version, the menu can be found, but not always in the same way.

1. In Windows 10, for the first time, some functions have been moved from the Control Panel to the Settings. You can reach these via the Start menu. In contrast, you can open the Control Panel via the operating system's search function. Enter "Control Panel" in the text field and confirm with the Enter key.
2. Under Windows 8, you must first press the Windows key on the keyboard to get to the Start screen. Now type "System" in the text box and confirm with the Enter key here as well. Klicken Sie auf das Ergebnis „Systemsteuerung“, um diese zu öffnen.
