Open Nvidia Control Panel - Where is it, what can it do?

The Nvidia Control Panel, also called Nvidia Control Panel, is the control center for Nvidia graphics drivers where you can configure various settings. The Nvidia Control Panel can be opened in a few steps.

Open Nvidia Control Panel: How to find the settings

The Nvidia Control Panel is basically installed with Nvidia drivers. The graphics card and its settings can be accessed from here. For example, you can adjust the performance or turn the PhysX engine on or off.
  1. The icon to the Nvidia control options can be found in the taskbar after installation, where the volume control is also located, for example.
  2. After right-clicking on the Nvidia icon, simply click on "Nvidia Control Panel" and you will get to the Nvidia Control Panel.
  3. From here you can now make various settings.
  4. If you right-click on your desktop, you will also find the Nvidia Control Panel in the context menu.

Nvidia Control Panel: What can be set?

The Nvidia Control Panel offers a wealth of driver settings that can be customized. These are the three most important settings:
  • System Information: After clicking on "System Information", you will get all the data and information about your built-in Nvidia graphics card, for example the installed DirectX version, the exact model and the clock speed of the GPU.
  • Graphics Settings: Here you can make modifications to the general graphics settings if necessary. Whether you prefer higher stability or top performance - you can use the slider to individually adjust the GPU's load.
  • 3D Settings: Under the "Manage 3D Settings" tab, the graphics settings are customizable in more detail. Among other things, antialiasing or the texture quality in games can be set individually here. You can also assign for which programs the onboard graphics card should be used and for which the Nvidia graphics card should be used.
