iPhone X: Synchronize contacts - this is how it works

By synchronizing your contacts you have the possibility to create new contacts on different Apple devices and have them available on all other devices afterwards. To sync your contacts, it is mandatory to have an Apple ID with which you are logged in to all devices.

iPhone X: Sync contacts - preparation

In order for your contacts to be synced, you must first confirm on your smartphone that your iCloud should perform such an operation.

1. Start your iPhone X and switch to the "Settings" app.
2. Directly at the beginning you will see a button that displays your name.
3. Tap on this button and log in with your Apple ID, if you have not already done so.
4. Sobald die Anmeldung erfolgreich war, navigieren Sie weiter auf „iCloud“ und aktivieren dort den Schalter Kontakte.
5. Bei der Frage, wie mit den Kontakten umgegangen werden soll, bestätigen Sie mit „Zusammenführen“.

Kontakte synchronisieren – so sind sie auf allen Geräten verfügbar

1. Um nun auf Ihren anderen Geräten die Kontakte verfügbar zu haben, müssen Sie nur die oben beschriebenen Schritte erneut durchführen.
2. Sobald die Einrichtung abgeschlossen ist, können Sie in Ihre Kontakte-App wechseln und die Informationen aktualisieren.
3. Wollen Sie keinen Gebrauch von der iCloud machen, funktioniert eine Synchronisation auch mit iTunes.
4. In diesem Fall muss die Synchronisation jedoch manuell für alle Geräte durchgeführt werden.
