Outlook: Synchronize for free - this is how it works

If you use the Outlook e-mail program on different devices, it is useful if the data is synchronized automatically. This way you can access and manage your emails from anywhere. Since there are hardly any native solutions for this at the moment, you have to resort to third-party software.

Synchronize Outlook for free

If you want to synchronize your e-mails on different devices, various third-party programs are available. For this purpose, there are both paid and free software. Among the paid programs, there are numerous alternatives such as SimpleSYN, which allows you to synchronize all files from your account. The cost of this starts at about 40 euros.
  1. Functions to synchronize your Outlook data also offers the free trial software gSyncit.
  2. The program provides an add-in for "Microsoft Outlook", with which you automatically update your Outlook data. This is done at certain times or directly when you start the program.
  3. In the trial version, you can synchronize a maximum of 50 entries for your contacts, notes and so on. If this is not enough, you must resort to a paid full version.
  4. If you have a Microsoft Exchange account, your Outlook data is automatically synchronized regularly. For this, you only need to allow synchronization with your account on your smartphone or second device.
  5. On a smartphone or tablet, you will find this option in the Outlook app under "Settings" > "Add account" > "Add email account".
  6. Here you now enter your Exchange account and activate synchronization.
