Nvidia Control Panel does not open - what you can do

If you own a graphics card from Nvidia, you can set your graphics card driver as required via the corresponding Control Panel. If this no longer works as usual or you cannot open it, this can have different causes. In many cases, you will see a corresponding error message with "Access denied".

What you can do if the Nvidia Control Panel does not open

If there are problems with the Nvidia Control Panel, you may not be able to open it. In some cases, an error message with the description "Access denied" is also displayed. There can be various reasons for this, but in most cases this error appears after you have installed a new driver. The problem can therefore be fixed by uninstalling the driver and then reinstalling it.

1. First uninstall the Nvidia driver.
2. Now restart your computer. Then you can reinstall the driver.
3. Another option is via the Nvidia graphics driver service. To do this, press "Windows" key + "R".
4. Enter "services.msc" in the text box. Suchen Sie hier nach dem „NVIDIA Display Driver Services“ und klicken Sie doppelt auf den Eintrag.
5. Wählen Sie als Starttyp die Option „Automatisch“ aus.
6. Können Sie anschließend die Systemsteuerung dennoch nicht öffnen, wiederholen Sie die letzten Schritte für alle Nvidia-Einträge, die Sie in der Liste finden.
