WoW Classic: These legendary weapons exist

The hunt for ever-better items is at the heart of World of Warcraft - and legendary items have a very special status. We show which legendary weapons are available in WoW Classic.

Orange as a sign of exclusivity: legendary weapons are particularly powerful.

An orange item description always arouses desire in World of Warcraft. This began over 16 years ago with the launch of the game.

WoW Classic: The four legendary weapons at a glance

The first two legendary weapons in the history of World of Warcraft were:
  • Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros: For the two-handed mace, Ragnaros must be defeated in Molten Core. It also requires a lot of high-value resources.
  • Thunderbolt, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker: This is a one-handed sword that can deal additional lightning damage. To obtain the weapon, among other things, a visit to the pitchwing hoard is necessary.
Two more legendary weapons followed:
  • Atiesh, High Staff of the Guardian: The two-handed staff exists in four versions, each of which can be worn exclusively by the classes Mage, Priest, Druid and Warlock. The special of all variants is an integrated portal to Karazhan.
  • Aschenbringer: The two-handed sword causes additional fire damage.
Logically, all four legendary weapons are very difficult to get and require the help of a strong guild, since end-game raids are the prerequisite. This makes the good pieces all the more valuable - in the current WoW Classic as well as back then.
