Ok Google set up - how to enable voice control

You can use Google Voice Search and Voice Control on Android, iOS devices and in the Chrome browser. However, before you can use voice search, you must first enable and set it up in the settings. Depending on what kind of device you use, this works in different ways.

Setting up Ok Google via the Google app

To enable voice search on Android devices, follow these steps:

1. Start the Google app.
2. Use the three-dot icon at the bottom right to access the menu and select the "Settings" item.
3. Switch to the "Voice input" category in the settings.
4. Tap on "Voice Match" at the item "Ok Google" and activate the function "Access with Voice Match".

Follow these steps to activate Ok Google on iOS devices:

1. Open the Google app and access the settings.
2. In the settings, access the category "Voice input".
3. Activate the function that the voice search should be started when you say "Ok Google".
4. Tippen Sie abschließend auf „Fertig“.

Sprachsuche in Google Chrome aktivieren

Möchten Sie die Sprachsuche in Google Chrome verwenden, brauchen Sie lediglich ein funktionierendes Mikrofon.

2. Klicken Sie rechts im Suchfeld auf das Mikrofon-Symbol.
