How to start Google Hangout on mobile device

Hangout is a messenger service developed by Google that allows you to send messages to other people. Making phone calls and having video chats is also possible with Google Hangout. How you start a new conversation with Hangout depends on the device you are using.

1. If you have a smartphone or tablet with Android, first open the Hangout app and tap "Add" > "New conversation" in the lower right corner.
2. Then enter the name of the person you want to chat with, type a message and select "Send".
3. Use Google Hangout on an iOS device, please navigate to "Add" to start a new conversation and select a contact.
4. Now you also have the option to enter a message or send a photo by tapping "Send".

To use Google Hangout on your computer, you have two options. Either call up the "hangout.google.com" website in your browser or open Hangouts in your Gmail account. Regardless of which option you use, click on "New conversation" to start a new conversation. Now select another contact and type your message before sending it by pressing the "Enter" key.
