Suppressing the G8S number: How to do it

Suppressing the number is a convenient way if you want to protect your privacy when calling. The person called will then only see "Unknown number" in the phone. On Android, you can simply suppress the number via the settings.

Hide the number on LG G8S

If you use LG G8S, you can easily suppress your phone number through the settings. So you don't need to install an additional app, and you don't need to prefix a specific number either. If you suppress your number, callers will not be able to call you back. However, leaving a voicemail message is still possible. In this case, remember to possibly leave a number where you can be reached. It is also possible that some lines automatically reject calls from suppressed numbers. This is especially used by public authorities and agencies, but also some private persons do not want to be called by unknown numbers. Since the setting to suppress the number can be easily changed, it is no problem to hide the number only for individual calls and then reset the settings again.

How it works

1. Open the settings.
2. Select "Call".
3. Scrollen Sie nach unten und tippen Sie auf „Anrufeinstellungen“.
4. Gehen Sie auf „Zusätzliche Einstellungen“.
5. Tippen Sie auf „Anrufer-ID“.
6. Tippen Sie auf „Netzwerk-Standardeinstellungen“, um weitere Optionen zu sehen.
