Android error: authentication failed
No other operating system enjoys such popularity as Android. Android has a market share of about 80 percent in Germany, while iOS just comes in at about 20 percent. If you receive the error "Authentication failed" on your Android, you will not be able to connect to the selected WLAN.
What does it mean when authentication failed?
On Android, you may see the error "Authentication failed". This pops up when you could not connect to the WLAN.- Make sure you had selected the correct WLAN.
- If this is the case, press the name of the network and hold your finger down for a few seconds.
- Select the correct encryption. Most of the time it is WPA/WPA2. Which encryption your router uses, you can find out in its settings.
- Now enter the correct password to connect to the WLAN. Which password is correct, you will also learn in the settings or directly on the back of the router.
- If you still get the error, delete the network from the list. To do this, press again on the name. Now select "Delete network".
