Android: Keyboard has been terminated - what you can do

From time to time, it may happen that the keyboard of your Android smartphone crashes. You will then be shown the error message "Android keyboard has terminated". Often, this error is triggered by faulty data in the cache.

How to remedy problems with the Android keyboard

If you receive the error message "Android keyboard terminated" during normal operation, in many cases a defective or damaged file is responsible. Clearing the cache and deleting the app data can already help in such a case and fix the problem. This removes all data stored by the application from your smartphone. And thus also the possible culprits of the error.
  1. Call up the settings of your smartphone.
  2. Switch to the category "Apps" to get a list of all applications installed on the smartphone.
  3. Search for your keyboard application in the list. For Samsung devices, for example, this is called "Samsung Keyboard Neural Beta". If you have found the corresponding application, tap on it to call up the app info.
  4. Tap on "Memory" afterwards. There you have the option to clear the cache and delete the app data. Leeren Sie zunächst den Cache der App.
