Stardew Valley: Board game released - soon also in Germany?

Stardew Valley does not stop causing a stir. As if version 1.5 of the iconic farm game wasn't enough, a board game has now been introduced. Our guide explains the basics.

With the upgrade to 1.5 also for consoles, Stardew Valley recorded another strong phase. Meanwhile, the computer game is no longer the only way to immerse yourself in the colorful world.

Stardew Valley: This is the board game

The board game was presented by SV creator Eric Barone (also known as "Concerned Ape") relatively surprisingly in February 2021.

• There was no announcement beforehand - the secrecy around the project obviously worked very well.
• The board game is about working together, not against each other. It is thus a co-op game, matching the video game template.
• It is about the typical themes, starting with farming, friendships and mines that you can explore.
• It was explicitly mentioned that the game is quite complex in design and quite requires familiarization.
• One to four players can sit together at the table, the age recommendation is from 13 years.

You can get more info and pictures of the game here on the official store page. However, the board game is so far only available in the U.S. (for $55); to a possible German release is not yet known. Due to the popularity of the franchise in this country, the chances are probably good, but there is currently no guarantee.
