Samsung Galaxy S10: Zoom - what you need to know

The camera of the new Samsung Galaxy S10 has caused a lot of talk, because it does not consist of two lenses as before, but effectively three. A 12 MP telephoto lens, a 12 MP wide-angle lens and a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle lens have been installed. Additionally, the S10 has a night vision feature.

How far can the Galaxy S10 zoom?

If you want to zoom with the Galaxy S10, you don't have to try hard. The camera app offers a very simple zoom setting.
  1. If you want to take a normal wide-angle photo, select three trees in the toolbar via the camera mode.
  2. If you want to use the standard zoom, use two trees.
  3. With the maximum zoom, you can zoom in pretty close. For this, you select a tree.
  4. You can also zoom continuously with the Samsung Galaxy S 10. However, this sometimes uses a digital zoom, which affects the quality of the photo.

Alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S10

If you want to achieve an even better zoom as well as a higher resolution of your photos, you should use a Huawei P30 Pro instead of the Samsung Galaxy S10. This phone currently has the best zoom and can magnify an object 50x with digital zoom. This zoom rate is achieved by a horizontal telephoto lens. Das einfallende Licht wird gespiegelt und dann über das Objektiv vergrößert und in die Kameralinse geworfen.
