The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus impresses with a new dual camera, which consists of two 12 megapixel cameras. However, not only the resolution is important in a camera, but also other functions. Thus, the different modes and the software are crucial for a good photo.

What does the new camera have to offer?

How far you can zoom with the camera depends on the hardware and software zoom. With hardware zoom, the image usually stays sharp, while digital zoom blurs the image slightly. Of course, it also depends on the right lighting conditions here.

1. The new dual camera of the Samsung Galaxy S9+ has an adjustable aperture that lets more or less light through depending on the setting.
2. If you use the Pro mode, you can decide for yourself which of the two aperture modes you use. If you use Automatic, then the aperture is set by itself with a threshold of 100 lux.
3. The new software also does a lot to make the image sharper. The cameras shoot a total of 4 x 3, or 12 photos. From each package of three, the best package is selected, which is then offset with the other 3 to create a final photo. This ensures a 30 percent better image quality.
4. You can zoom up to a 2x magnification. Dabei werden natürlich ebenfalls beide Kameras benutzt, damit auch beim Zoomen die Fotos immer noch scharf geschossen werden können.
