Register with the GEZ online: How it works

Since 2013, the broadcasting fee is mandatory for all households, regardless of the number of devices and residents. Our guide explains how to register online with the GEZ.

The online registration with the broadcasting center is completed in a few minutes.

An exemption from broadcasting fees, formerly also called GEZ fees, is only possible under certain conditions. For most people, this means not being able to prevent the costs.

This is how you can register online with the GEZ

If you were not previously registered, for example, because you lived abroad, or directly after a move, the registration with the Rundfunkzentrale is pending. This is possible online:

• Simply call up this page and enter the requested data.

The broadcasting fee is currently 17.50 euros. You can decide in which rhythm the debit takes place. The most practical is the annual payment of 210 euros, semi-annually it is 105 euros and quarterly 52.50 euros. The monthly amount always remains at 17.50 euros, so there is no saving.
