Honor 20: TalkBack - how to use it

The TalkBack program is pre-installed on the Honor 20 and allows you to have content displayed on the device's screen read aloud. However, this only works if you activate TalkBack before using it and know the program's gestures.

How to activate TalkBack on the Honor 20

TalkBack is an auxiliary program that was developed especially for visually impaired people to make smartphone use easier for them. The Honor 20 also has a TalkBack function that reads out the current contents of the screen to you when you have activated the function.
  1. To activate TalkBack, please first open the settings of the Honor 20 by tapping the "gear icon".
  2. Navigate then to "Intelligent support" > "Operating aids" > "TalkBack" and select the gear to open the TalkBack settings screen.
  3. Now still activate TalkBack by tapping the corresponding entry and confirm your selection with "OK".
  4. If you want to deactivate TalkBack again, please press the power button and hold it down until the Honor 20 vibrates. Then touch the screen with two fingers.

To use TalkBack after activation, it is important that you know the program's gestures to interact with the Honor 20. If you want to switch between multiple screens on the device, you can do so by swiping left or right. To select an element, please touch it with one finger.
