Wolt in Germany: These cities are already represented

Wolt Delivery originated in Finland and now also wants to stir up the German market. There, as is well known, Lieferando is enthroned, but that should change if Wolt has its way. Read in which cities the service exists.

First Berlin, then more and more: Wolt is gradually spreading into Germany.

Wolt was founded in 2014 and has since made it to numerous other countries. Only since 2020 has Germany also been represented on the Wolt map.

Wolt: So is the availability in Germany

The situation is as follows:

• Berlin made the start: Wolt expanded into the capital in August 2020.
• In January 2021, two more cities then followed, namely Munich and Frankfurt am Main.
• Nevertheless, even in these cities the service is still nowhere near as well-known as Lieferando. This is mainly due to the fact that the selection of participating restaurants is still growing.
• So Wolt started in Berlin initially with about 100 restaurants, but was able to increase this number sixfold by the turn of the year.

A similar development should also create Wolt in the other (and future) cities. In contrast to Lieferando, Wolt incidentally not only takes over the mediation of the orders, but also their delivery. In the long run, this advantage should tip the scales specifically from the perspective of restaurants.
