  1. The Windows error message that the requested resource is already in use usually appears when transferring files to a mobile disk or during a print operation.
  2. First, check the drivers of the connected devices for updates or upgrades. Often the error message occurs with outdated drivers. To do this, navigate to the Device Manager of your Windows computer.
  3. If the drivers are already up to date, restart the computer. While doing so, remove the connected USB devices in the correct way and reconnect them.
  4. Before you perform the transfer operation again, where the error message appeared, let Windows check for driver updates. Also check the manufacturer's website to see if you can install new drivers.

What else can you do?
