Coal plays a central role in power generation because it allows you to turn away from biomass.

Satisfactory: coal primarily for power generation, but not only

You can find coal in the form of deposits just like iron, concrete or copper. Consequently, you need an extractor to mine the coal. The extractor needs to be powered.

• The most important purpose initially is to generate power: With a coal-fired power plant, you can automate your power generation after you have heated the start of the game with biomass.
• For this, the coal does not need to be processed further after extraction. The extracted coal comes by conveyor belt into the power plant. Im Zusammenspiel mit Wasser wird dadurch Strom erzeugt.
