Use Android USB debugging

If you have an Android and you would like to set as many security settings as possible to be able to protect your device in the best possible way, then you should look into the USB debugging feature. It provides access to internal device data.

The USB debugging feature allows you to view certain log data on the device's system. Existing security vulnerabilities can thus be uncovered and fixed. But you can also adjust settings that go deeper into the device's system through debugging. To do this, you need to connect the smartphone or tablet with a USB cable to your PC and activate the function.

Activating USB debugging for Android devices

To enable and use USB debugging on your Android terminal, you need to follow a few steps:
  1. The activation of the function is not easy to find, because the developers of the operating system want to make sure that only experienced users settings with it. Preferably, therefore, programmers and IT people deal with debugging.
  2. You first enable the developer options. For this, open the settings and navigate to "Phone info".
  3. Open "Software information".
  4. You will find the entry "Build number". Tap this repeatedly in succession until you get the message that the developer options have been activated.
  5. Find the settings of your device again.
