Huawei P Smart: USB debugging - how to activate the service

If the term USB debugging doesn't mean anything to you, that's not a problem. But surely you have used debugging on your smartphone before. The service is in fact necessary to create a direct connection between the smartphone and PC and thus ensure secure data transfer.

How to activate USB debugging

You need USB debugging on your Huawei P Smart not only for transferring files, but also when you want to install new software on your smartphone.

1. Open the settings of your Huawei P Smart by clicking on the gear icon in the menu.
2. In the list that appears, you will find the sub-item "System". Click on it and display the options.
3. Now a new screen opens, where you select the option "About the phone".
4. Under the option "Compilation number" you must create it seven times in a row.
5. You will now receive the message that your smartphone is in developer mode.
6. Now return to the selection "System" and select "Developer options".
7. Enable USB debugging by activating the switch.
8. Now connect your Huawei P Smart to the computer via USB cable and have all the desired information transferred.
