x64 and x86: These are the differences
The designations x64 and x86 are different processor architectures. They differ in several ways, such as the amount of physical memory. They also determine which operating system version you can use.

For example, if you want to install a new operating system, you usually encounter the distinction between a 32-bit and a 64-bit version. Which version you need to install depends on the processor architecture you are using.
