FIFA 21: Headliners event started - all info

With the Headliners event FIFA 21 starts swinging into the new year. Our guide explains what makes the cards stand out, what the schedule looks like, and why the included players are so valuable.

Strong - and maybe even stronger: Headliners cards have a dynamic potential.

The concept of headliners is not new in FIFA, in this post on the predecessor FIFA 20 we have already provided an explanation. Basically, nothing has changed in FIFA 21.

FIFA 21: What makes Headliners so special

Headliners represent a special variant of in-form cards:

• At the start, Headliners cards are always one point stronger than the currently strongest in-form card of the player.
• The special feature, however, is that they can also change dynamically.
• This is done by the player depicted receives another in-form card, such as by the team of the week.
• In addition, a one-time upgrade is possible if the player's real team wins four league games in a row.
• The already strong cards can thus become even better, which makes the investment all the more worthwhile.

The first Headliners selection appeared at the beginning of January 2020 and included as the strongest player Bruno Fernandes with an overall strength of 91. The other players can also be seen, such as Fabinho (88), Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (88), Wilfried Zaha (87) and Wissam Ben Yedder (87). They get the players partly through Squad Building Challenges (SBC) and partly by pack draw.
