In order to use the Apple TV with your TV, the TV usually only needs to have an HDMI port.

• If you have an Apple TV 4K, you must also make sure that you use an HDMI cable that is compatible with HDMI 2.0 or newer.
• Alternatively to a TV, you can also connect a display to the Apple TV if it has an HDMI port.
• In addition to connecting via HDMI cable, you need to pair the Apple TV with the Internet. This works either via the Ethernet port or wirelessly via WLAN.

Setting up Apple TV

Follow these steps to set up your Apple TV:

1. Plug the Apple TV into a power outlet and connect the device to the TV via HDMI cable. Turn on the TV and select the appropriate HDMI input.
2. Use the remote control to select your country and language.
3. Now, either manually or using an iOS device, set up the connection to the Wi-Fi network and log in with your Apple ID.
4. If necessary, log in to your TV provider so that you can watch TV shows and movies included in a cable or TV subscription.
5. Once the setup is complete, you will be taken to the Home screen.
