iOS 12 Multitasking: How it works properly
With the introduction of the iPhone X and the resulting lack of a home button, the operating system also had to adapt accordingly. Thus, for version 11 of iOS, some adjustments were made regarding the execution of functions. With iOS 12, these functions were replaced by simple gestures.
iOS 12: How to use the multitasking gestures
So that users are not confused and get confused when operating your iPhone, a few new gestures came with the update to version 12.- Originally, the home button was used to get back to the home screen.
- Now this is achieved by a simple gesture. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
- If you are already in the Home screen, this gesture will take you to the first page of the interface.
- The Notification Center has also been separated from the Control Center.
- So you can now open notifications by swiping from the top down, while you have to swipe from the top right to the center of the display for the Control Center.

- In früheren Version von iOS und damit auch älteren Modellen der Geräte konnten Sie in den App-Switcher wechseln, indem Sie schnell hintereinander den Home-Button betätigen.
- Inzwischen wird der Switcher geöffnet, wenn Sie innerhalb einer App von unten nach oben wischen.
- Um nun eine App zu schließen, müssen Sie einen Thumbnail gedrückt halten und auf das X oben rechts in der Ecke tippen.
