Star Citizen 3.5: These features are brought by the alpha update

The community has been waiting a long time for version 3.5 - and in mid-April 2019, the update was finally pushed to the PU servers. Our guide gives you an overview of the most important new features.

In Star Citizen 3.5 there are retread flight physics, a new planet and more.

Big updates are always a reason for joy in Star Citizen. With version 3.5, CIG was able to confirm this.

Star Citizen: 3.5 with far-reaching innovations

The alpha 3.5 brought the following features:
  • The flight physics have been reworked from the ground up and have hardly any similarities with the previous mechanics. This is the biggest and most important new feature that 3.5 brought.
  • Also a big deal: the planet ArcCorp was added, along with its moons Lyria and Wala. The landing zone is called Area 18.
  • More variants of the MISC Reliant and the Anvil F7C-M have been added and are now "fly ready". In addition, the completely redesigned Origin 300i is now ready and available.
  • Many players report a further improvement in performance.
  • Female characters can now be created and played.
  • In addition, the "DNA Face Customization System" is now used in character creation.
Apart from these main points, there are quite a few fixes and detail improvements in almost all areas (a detailed list can be found here). This concerns new weapons as well as the UI elements or the quests, where the completion rate is now significantly higher than before. Conclusion: Star Citizen is still far from a finished game even with 3.5, but the playable content has once again made a big leap. For long-term fans, it's worth paying a visit to the current version for the flight physics alone.
