Star Citizen 3.7: Overview of the update's most important features

Star Citizen's alpha 3.7 went live in October 2019 and once again brought some important advances. Our guide summarizes what features have been on board since.

It's coming along: since version 3.7, Star Citizen has been running very stable for many players.

Star Citizen is known to be the biggest crowdfunding game ever. Even though it will still take years to complete, the simulation can be seen in the meantime.

Star Citizen 3.7: What the update brought

The following innovations and features came into the game with 3.7:
  • Five new ships: RSI Mantis, Aegis Vanguard Harbinger, Aegis Vanguard Sentinel, Anvil Pisces and Banu Defender.
  • Player weapons now have upgrade slots.
  • Ships can be rented.
  • In the environment there are now objects that can be harvested / collected by the player.
  • Missions can be shared.
  • Per Multi-Tool mining is possible even without a ship.
Almost more important than all these gameplay innovations are the improvements in performance and stability. These are clearly noticeable and give Star Citizen for the first time the appearance of a real game, even if it continues to be an alpha version with many bugs.
