Street View for Android: How to explore the world in 3D
Street View is one of the most popular features of Google's map service. For mobile devices, there even exists a dedicated app that lets you enjoy the 3D street views detached from Google Maps. We show you the features of the app.
How to use Google Street View on Android devices
Street View is even pre-installed on many Android devices, for example on devices with Android 5.0 or Android 6.0. If you don't have the app, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store or use the Street View view in the Google Maps app.- Open it for this purpose, search for a location and press and hold the "pin icon" to switch to the Street View view.
- After installation, you will see the familiar world map of Google Maps and above it some options to help you get started.
- "Recommended": Here you will find particularly successful collections in the area that your map is currently displaying, for example, "Sights in Germany" or "German soccer stadiums".
- "Explore": With this option, you will be shown red dots in the displayed area. Tap on one of these points, zoom into the map and find interesting collections in the additional window that you can explore.
- In the menu items "Profile" and "Private" you can define personal settings.
