What is Google Street View? The service explained
Google Street View captures 360-degree street-level images for Google Maps and Google Earth. These add a very special perspective to Google's maps, as you can later virtually walk through streets and places. You can use Google Street View for free.
What Google Street View offers
Google Street View is known to many users primarily in the form of the striking vehicles equipped with cameras that drive through streets. These vehicles record image material for Google Maps and Google Earth, thus adding another layer to the virtual maps. The raw data is recorded as 360-degree images. Bicycles and other vehicles are also used to record impassable terrain. Special software is used to develop 3D models from these photos, which you can call up in Google Maps and Google Earth. Google Street View is not available everywhere. Some countries have rejected the service for privacy reasons and also many private individuals have sued against the recording of their properties. How you can use Google Street View
