Television can't find a channel - what you can do
If you have bought a new TV, you must first connect it. After that, it is necessary for you to perform a channel scan to find analog and digital channels. However, if the TV does not find any channels, this can have different causes.
What you can do if the TV doesn't find a channel
Independently of whether you have bought a new TV or receiver, you have to perform a channel scan before you can watch TV. It is not uncommon that your TV does not find a channel. The problem can usually be solved by yourself.- Try to find the channels via the automatic channel history first. To do this, go to "Channels" > "Channel reception" > "Automatic channel history". Make sure to select the correct input channel, depending on whether you use cable or satellite, for example.
- If you want to receive channels via DVB-T, then the error may be due to the signal strength. You can fix this problem by using a stronger antenna or by changing the position of your antenna. In doing so, you should consult a specialist, which antenna is best suited for your living situation.
- If you use cable against it, then the problem may be due to your provider. This can be both a wrong configuration and a technical defect behind it. To solve the problem, first try another cable or an amplifier, if the cable reception is too low. Alternatively, contact directly a corresponding specialist.
