If you have a Bluetooth mouse, you certainly got a dongle with it, which you need to connect to a USB port in order for the mouse to work. But isn't it also possible to use a Bluetooth mouse without a dongle?

There are both wireless mice and Bluetooth mice that you can use with a dongle. However, Bluetooth mice can be used without a dongle, unlike mice with their own radio frequency. However, this requires a Bluetooth receiver in your computer. Many laptops have this built-in and many complete PCs also have the receiver. If your computer is self-assembled, you can upgrade with an adapter so that your computer can connect to the Bluetooth mouse without a dongle.

This is how you make the connection

To make your computer find the Bluetooth mouse, simply make the connection through Windows. It works like this:

1. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
2. Press the Windows icon in the bottom left corner.
3. Then click the gear icon to access the settings.
4. Now select the "Devices" menu here.
5. Switch to the "Bluetooth and other devices" menu.
