Translated meaningfully, "Lift and Coast" means taking your foot off the gas without braking and then rolling into the corner.- This is not the fastest way to cover distance, but it is suitable for driving with less gasoline. This is because the car is lighter, which can more than compensate for the loss of time during the rolling curve approach.
- It is important for this that "Lift and Coast" is operated quite intensively. The effect shows namely only in the long term.
- Positive side effect: Brakes and tires are also spared, because they are somewhat less often maximally stressed.
