To edit PDF files on your Mac directly in Adobe Acrobat, you need the paid version of the program. If you do not have it, it is possible as an alternative to convert the file from PDF format to a Word document and edit it. Free of charge, the conversion of a PDF into a text file is possible with the tool "PDF to Text".- Install the tool for this first on your Mac by downloading it from the App Store.
- After that, open "PDF to Text" and click on "+PDF" to add the file to be converted to the program.
- Simply browse the desired PDF file via your Mac's Finder and click "Browse" to select a folder to save the converted text file.
- Finally click on the icon with two arrows to start the conversion process.
