Convert PDF to Word document: How to do it
You want to convert a PDF file to a Word document? Then you have several options. In Adobe's Acrobat Reader, you can find the function you need with just a few clicks, and you can also use online tools. We show you how it works.
Convert PDF to Word document: Can be done in a few steps with Adobe ID
The following instructions apply if you open your PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is the most widely used program for PDFs and provides you with the appropriate function. However, you need an Adobe ID, which you get, for example, when buying the paid Pro version.- Open the PDF file with Acrobat Reader and click on "Tools" in the top bar.
- Click there on "Export PDF file".
- Under "Selected files" you will now see your file. If you still want to convert more PDFs to Word files, you can simply add them. In this way, you do the work in one step.
- Under the files, you will see the selection box of "Convert to". Select "Microsoft Word Document" there.
- Optionally, you can also set the language of the document.
- Then click the blue "Export to Word" button.
- If you are not logged in with your Adobe ID yet, you need to log in now to complete the conversion.
- Set a location for the Word file, select DOC or DOCX as the format and click "Save".
