Connecting Xbox One with laptop - the Xbox app makes it possible

If you don't want to play Xbox in your living room for a change, you'll be happy to hear about the Xbox app. With it, using all your games on your laptop becomes possible as long as Xbox One and PC are on the same network. The connection is made quite easily.

What do you need to use the Xbox app?

Before the release of the Xbox app, it was not yet possible to connect the laptop to the Xbox. This problem has now been fixed by the Xbox app. These are the requirements to use the app:
  • The app works on Windows 10 if you are logged in with the same gametag as on the Xbox One.
  • Your laptop should have 2 GB of RAM and a processor that is at least 1.5 GHz.
  • Console and laptop must be connected to the same home network, either wirelessly or via cable.
