Load files to Dropbox: How it works via the browser and the desktop app

If you want to upload data to your Dropbox, you have several options to choose from.

1. Go to the Dropbox website in your browser and log in with your user data.
2. Navigate to the Dropbox folder where you want to upload something.
3. Click "Upload Files" on the right side of the navigation.
4. Select the files or folders and click "Open" to upload.

If you are using the desktop application, you need to do the following when uploading:

1. Raise either the Dropbox folder via Explorer or Finder. Alternatively, you can also open the Dropbox folder via the icon in the taskbar.
2. Simply drag & drop the files you want to upload into the appropriate directory of your Dropbox.

Upload files via app

In addition to the browser and desktop app, you can also access your Dropbox via an app. The app is available as a free download for both Android and iOS devices in the respective app stores. Once you have installed the Dropbox app on your smartphone or tablet, you can access all the data stored in the cloud storage and upload new data.
