Microsoft Teams: upload files

Microsoft Teams is a tool primarily used for scheduling and conducting video conferences. The application also offers the convenient option of uploading files and sharing them with other people. You can find out what options are available in this regard here.

How to upload files in Microsoft Teams

In Teams, you have several options for uploading files:
  1. Standard method: To do this, simply sign in to Teams and open the channel where you want to upload files. In the channel, click on "Files" in the upper area and there on "Upload". Now select the file and confirm the upload process with "Open". To save storage space, it is worthwhile to compress the files in advance.
  2. Drag & Drop option: In this variant, you also open the respective channel on teams and also the Windows Explorer. There, simply highlight the files you want to upload and drag them with the left mouse button pressed into the respective file folder in Teams.

Offline access to uploaded files on Microsoft Teams

In the file folder of the channel on Teams, you will find the option "Synchronize" in addition to the menu item "Upload". Now you can select individual files or folders and copy them to your hard drive by clicking on "Start synchronization". All changes made in these files will now be synchronized with Teams even without an internet connection.
