Search Console: Submit URL - here's how to do it in 2019

Google's Search Console helps site owners index new URLs. But since the renewal of Search Console, the way is no longer the same. We show you how.

The new Search Console has a different menu navigation, but you can still submit URLs.

Search Console was known as Google Webmaster Tools until 2015. A lot has happened since then, and it shows when submitting new URLs.

Search Console: URL submission made easy

Proceed as follows:
  1. In the new Search Console, click on "URL check" in the menu on the left.
  2. Enter the complete new URL (including http:// or https://).
  3. Wait a few seconds until a new window appears.
  4. Then select the command to index the page.
The same thing happens in the background now as before: The crawler is made aware of the new URL and will soon examine and register it so that it can show up in the results. At the same time, the URL check gives you important info about your URLs, such as possible errors, based on which you can optimize the page.
