You can connect your Xbox One controller to PC in the following ways:
  • Windows 10: USB cable, Xbox Wireless or Bluetooth
  • Windows 7 and Windows 8.1: USB cable or Xbox Wireless
  • The required drivers are already pre-installed in Windows 10, and they are installed automatically in Windows 7. and 8.1 - so additional work is not necessary here.
To connect the controller via USB, turn on the PC and connect the controller using the USB cable. To connect via Bluetooth, please press the Xbox button for three seconds on the switched-on controller and navigate to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Add Bluetooth or another device" on the PC to select the controller from the device list.

How to use Xbox Wireless

For wireless connection via Xbox Wireless, you need the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, which you can buy cheaply online. Then connect it and turn on both the controller and the PC. Now press the pairing button on the controller and the adapter to connect the devices.
