Restarting your laptop can have numerous benefits. It is sometimes the best way to remove malware. It can also be due to a change of operating system or unexplained malfunctions. To format, you need an ISO of the operating system you want to use.

Resetting your laptop

If you want to reset your laptop, you will need a disk to back up your personal data. In case you have two hard drives in your laptop, you can also move all your personal data to the hard drive that does not have the operating system installed. This hard disk is not affected by a new installation and can therefore be used well for backup. If you do not have a second hard drive and no external data media at hand, you can also use a cloud. You will also need an ISO file of the operating system. This must be stored on a CD or a bootable USB stick.

How to format

1. Create a backup of your data.
2. Open Windows Explorer.
3. Click with right on the hard drive where the system is installed.
