Restarting your MacBook: Here's how

There can be many reasons that make it necessary to restart your MacBook. The most common reason is a frozen screen where the Mac cannot be controlled via trackpad or mouse or keyboard.

• The easiest way to restart a MacBook is via the apple button in the menu bar.

• It is different if your MacBook has hung up and no longer responds to your inputs.

The operating system no longer responds?

If the operating system no longer responds, often the only option left is to turn it off via the power button.

• Bei Modellen mit physischen tasten finden Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter in der obersten Reihe der Tastatur ganz rechts.
• Drücken Sie diese Taste so lange, bis das MacBook ausgeht. Hier ist ebenfalls ein Verlust von Daten möglich und es sollte die letzte Option sein, falls das MacBook auf nichts anderes mehr reagiert!
